Before you start

Act as: An Operations or Inventory user responsible for recording the movement
Item: A tracked Seasonal Kit item linked to SettleWise Inventory
Starting state: The item's current holder or operational state is already known
Physical reality: The item has actually moved to a new holder or state

Open the tracked item and confirm its current holder or state before recording the movement.
Expected evidence
The recorded custody matches where the item was immediately before the physical movement.

Complete the relevant checkout, return, replacement, or state update after the item physically moves.
Expected evidence
The new holder or operational state becomes visible to operations and inventory.
3InventorySettleWise · Inventory item history
Review the item after the movement is recorded.
Expected evidence
The current custody shows the new reality and the movement appears in the item's history.

If the item is damaged, lost, or replaced, review its unresolved issue separately.
Expected evidence
The custody is current, while responsibility and any financial impact remain unresolved until explicitly decided.

The new custody is visible, recorded in history, and separate from unresolved responsibility.

If the old holder still appears, confirm that the physical movement's checkout, return, replacement, or state update was completed—not only planned.
If inventory availability looks wrong, check whether the item is physically back; ending a trip or assignment alone does not restore stock.
If a damaged, lost, or replaced issue disappeared, review the item in the guide's Seasonal Kit panel; a custody movement must not resolve responsibility automatically.
