Use this playbook to request daily client gear from a real CIS and make the packing work visible to Operations.
Before you start
- Act as
- A guide with access to an upcoming CIS
- Trip
- An upcoming CIS whose guests submitted equipment needs and sizes through the guest form
- Starting state
- No active daily gear request exists for the selected trip
- Inventory
- Requestable items are active in SettleWise Inventory
Run the scenario
- 1GuideTrailhead Mobile · CIS detail
Open Gear request for the selected CIS.
Expected evidence
The passenger gear requirements appear as a pre-populated trip request, separate from the guide's Seasonal Kit.
- 2GuideTrailhead Mobile · Gear request
Review the passenger, item, size, and quantity details and resolve any exception.
Expected evidence
The guide can confirm what each client needs without re-entering the whole request.
- 3GuideTrailhead Mobile · Selected gear
Submit the gear request and return to the CIS detail.
Expected evidence
The requested items appear in the CIS gear summary with a Requested status.
- 4OperationsTrailhead · Guides · Gear
Open the daily client gear queue for the same company and trip.
Expected evidence
The trip request is visible as work that still needs packing and checkout.
Scenario completed
Inventory and operations can see the submitted request for packing and checkout.
- Trip gear request
- Not requested→Requested
- Inventory work
- Not scheduled→Pending packing
If it does not match
- If the draft is empty, confirm that the guest submitted equipment needs and that the form data synchronized to the correct CIS passenger.
- If the CIS is unavailable, confirm that the guide is assigned to the trip and has mobile access to it.
- If operations cannot see the request, confirm that both views use the same company and that the guide completed submission.
- A submitted request can be edited only while every item is still Requested. Once checkout starts, refresh the CIS and coordinate changes with Operations instead of replacing custody from a stale form.
