Use this playbook to record a replacement where the old item is not returned and verify that the incident stays visible without an in-season charge.
Before you start
- Act as
- An Inventory or Operations user and the affected guide
- Starting state
- An open replacement issue and an available replacement with a known item value
- Physical reality
- The replacement was handed over and the old item was not returned
Run the scenario
- 1OperationsTrailhead · Guide profile · Seasonal Kit
After handing over the replacement without receiving the old item, choose Old item was not returned and confirm.
Expected evidence
The old item is marked missing with guide responsibility, the replacement is assigned, and no ledger debit is created.
- 2AccountsSettleWise · Guide account
Review the guide account after the replacement handoff closes.
Expected evidence
No in-season charge exists; any financial disposition is deferred to season-close reconciliation.
- 3GuideTrailhead Mobile · Seasonal Kit
Review the active Seasonal Kit assignment and issue history.
Expected evidence
The replacement appears as checked out and the old missing item remains visible with its season-close review status.
Scenario completed
The replacement is assigned and the old item remains missing, guide-linked, and pending season-close review without a charge.
- Old item
- Guide custody→Missing
- Guide responsibility
- Exchange outcome unknown→Responsible for missing item
- Replacement item
- Company custody→Guide custody
- Replacement handoff
- Open→Resolved; incident pending season close
If it does not match
- If an in-season charge appears, stop: SK-07 must preserve the incident without changing the guide ledger.
- If the old item appears available, correct its custody: an unreturned item must remain missing.
- If the guide cannot see the incident, confirm that the resolved replacement remains in Mobile issue history with its missing-item note.
