Complete guide onboarding
Build, save, submit, and correct the field profile that Operations reviews before guide work.
Onboarding creates the guide's reviewed identity and readiness record. Trailhead can offer it after sign-in, and it can always be reopened from the banner on Profile. The wizard remembers progress so it can be completed across more than one session.
Understand the status
| Status | Meaning | Guide action |
|---|---|---|
| Not started | No onboarding work has been saved. | Open Onboarding and begin with identity. |
| In progress | A draft exists but has not been submitted. | Continue from the remembered or first incomplete step. |
| Submitted for review | The guide sent the profile to Operations. | Monitor Profile and keep source documents available. |
| Update requested | Operations needs one or more corrections. | Reopen Onboarding, correct the requested information, review, and submit again. |
| Verified | Operations accepted the onboarding record. | Keep Profile and documents current; verification is not permanent when information expires or changes. |
Complete the seven steps
1. Who you are
Enter legal first and last name, optional alias, and date of birth. Use the name that belongs to the DNI and tax record. Continue saves this step before advancing.
2. How to reach you
Enter the phone country code and number, street and number, city, province, and postal code. Add an emergency-contact name, phone, and optional relationship when available. The primary phone and complete address are required for final submission; the emergency contact does not replace them.
3. Your profile photo
Take a photo or choose one from the library. Grant camera or photo-library permission when prompted. Use a clear, current image that identifies the person; the upload happens as part of this step.
4. Identity document
Capture or upload both the front and back of the DNI. Crop each image so the complete document is readable, then review any detected information. Retake a side when it is blurred, cut off, reflective, or belongs to the wrong person.
OCR assists entry; it does not verify identity
Detected values can be incomplete or wrong. The guide must compare them with the original DNI before continuing.
5. Tax data
Confirm the DNI number and CUIL used for payouts. Do not infer or reuse another person's value. Both fields are required for final submission.
6. Professional documents
Review the professional-document area and upload the credentials relevant to the work: CV, driver's license, vehicle evidence, guide credential, National Parks credential, boatman license, and nautical card. Operations reviews these files independently, so an uploaded credential is not yet a verified credential.
The core onboarding completeness check requires identity, contact, profile photo, both DNI sides, DNI number, and CUIL. A professional document can still be operationally required for a particular role or assignment even when the wizard allows submission.
7. Review and submit
Read the complete summary and correct missing or inconsistent values. Submit for review becomes available only when the required core information is present. Submit once, wait for Profile to show Submitted for review, and then follow the review status.
Save and resume
- Continue saves the current structured step before advancing.
- Save and leave saves the current structured step and returns to Profile.
- Photo, DNI, and credential uploads are stored when their upload finishes.
- Reopening Onboarding returns to the last remembered step when possible; otherwise it starts at the first incomplete step.
- Submission clears the remembered draft position and returns to Profile.
Before leaving a weak connection, wait for the active save or upload to finish. A local photo preview is not proof that its upload completed.
Respond to review feedback
When Profile shows Update requested:
- Open the onboarding banner.
- Identify the fields or documents Operations asked to revisit.
- Correct the source information instead of working around validation.
- Replace unreadable or incorrect files.
- Review the complete record again.
- Submit once and confirm that the status returns to Submitted for review.
If a submission or upload fails, keep the page open, confirm connectivity, and retry the failed action only. Do not create a second Trailhead identity to restart onboarding.
