Use this playbook to submit all checked-out CIS gear and reconcile every unit as returned usable before the company can assign it again.
Before you start
- Act as
- The trip's guide, with an Operations user available to review
- Trip
- A CIS with daily client gear in Checked out status
- Starting state
- The checked-out items still appear as expected back
- Physical reality
- Every checked-out item and quantity has physically returned without an issue
Run the scenario
- 1GuideTrailhead Mobile · CIS detail
Open the checked-out gear summary and start Return gear.
Expected evidence
The return sheet lists the items and quantities expected back for this CIS.
- 2GuideTrailhead Mobile · Gear return
Compare the list with the physical gear and confirm the complete return.
Expected evidence
The checked-out custody moves to return requested and awaits Inventory review; stock is not restored yet.
- 3InventorySettleWise · Inventory · Gear requests
Open the pending return and allocate the full reviewed quantity to Returned usable.
Expected evidence
The form accepts the reconciliation only when outcome quantities equal the issued quantity.
- 4InventorySettleWise · Inventory
Confirm the reconciliation and review usable availability.
Expected evidence
Only the returned-usable quantities are available to the company's shared inventory.
- 5OperationsTrailhead · Guides · Gear
Review the same trip after the return completes.
Expected evidence
Daily client gear no longer appears as an open return blocker for the trip.
Scenario completed
All expected gear is returned, available again, and no longer blocks trip closure.
- Trip gear status
- Checked out→Reconciled as returned usable
- Custody
- CIS or trip→Company inventory
- Inventory availability
- Unavailable→Available
- Trip gear blocker
- Open→Cleared
If it does not match
- If Return gear is unavailable, confirm that the CIS has items in Checked out status rather than only Requested.
- If any item is missing or damaged, stop the clean return and use the Daily Client Gear Issue journey instead.
- If availability does not return, confirm that the physical return completed for every expected quantity in the same organization.
