Turn the completed field day into trusted evidence for the trip, the operation, and tomorrow's decisions.
The Fishing Report is the record of what happened in a Program. It gives the lodge a trustworthy outcome rather than a vague statement that the day is done.
What a useful report captures
Report the field reality that helps the company review the Program and learn from it: conditions, catches and other outcomes, notes, media, the access and beat actually used, and the quality or repeat-access signal that matters for the day.
The aim is not to create more narrative. It is to make the outcome reviewable by someone who was not in the field.
Draft, submit, and close
Create the report from the Program so the CIS, date, beat, access, and guide context remain traceable. The guide can enter it directly or use a voice draft, but generated fields must be reviewed before submission.
- Record catches with the correct species, quantity, size, time, role, fly, notes, and photo when available.
- Review water and weather conditions, access condition, day quality, and the repeat recommendation.
- Remove speculative or sensitive commentary that does not belong in shared operational evidence.
- Use Save for a draft or Save and Send to submit the report.
A draft remains editable and does not satisfy Program closure. A submitted report becomes shared evidence and unlocks the final Program step. Later operational or Field Knowledge review does not change the report's submission status.

Evidence becomes knowledge through review
A report can be valuable evidence without automatically becoming a new rule or recommendation. Field Knowledge curates the observations that should improve the Beat Passport, seasonal context, or future recommendations. The report remains Fishing's account of the actual day.
Close honestly
