Overview
Maintain trusted people and turn eligible, ready profiles into visible client-work assignments.
Guides is Trailhead's people and assignment-readiness area. It separates two questions that must not be collapsed:
| Track | What it answers | Source of truth |
|---|---|---|
| People | Who can work, in which roles, and whether their profile is ready | Guides list, invitation, onboarding, documents, and active state |
| Assignments | Who is committed to a client booking and what they see | CIS booking teams and mobile assignment views |
A person can exist in Guides without an assignment. An assignment can use only an active person eligible for that team role.
People and invitations
Create one trusted profile and grant mobile access without duplication.
Onboarding and readiness
Separate active, submitted, verified, and operationally ready states.
Assignments and conflicts
Build valid CIS teams and block overlapping commitments.
Mobile assignments
Show each person the current CIS work and assigned role.
Guides does not own client travel, daily Program content, Fishing Reports, gear custody, or financial execution. It consumes their readiness and accountability effects while those records remain with CIS, Fishing, Inventory, and Accounts.
Next: add and invite a person.
