Roles and eligibility
Distinguish what a person may do from the role they hold in a specific assignment.
A person may be eligible as a guide, assistant, or both. Eligibility controls which CIS booking-team slots they may occupy; the assignment records the one role they are performing for that commitment.
- Every team requires a guide; an assistant is optional.
- A dual-eligible person may fill either slot, but not both in the same team.
- Mobile shows the role attached to the actual assignment.
- Changing eligibility does not rewrite completed assignment history.
A requested guide is only a client preference. It never overrides eligibility, availability, or the actual booking-team assignment.
