Operational Closure is the shared proof that a day of work is complete, trusted, and ready for the company to use in reporting, guide-payment work, and the client trip record.
Operations brings the picture together, but each source area remains responsible for the evidence it provides.
Closure at a glance
- A required Fishing Program is ready and the field work is completed—or an accepted exception is recorded.
- The guide checks and submits the required Fishing Report so the outcome becomes shared evidence.
- Any relevant Guides readiness, gear, expense, advance, or account matter is clear.
- CIS can show that the trip's required work is satisfied.
- Operations shows the day as closed, or points to the exact blocker that still needs attention.

What can keep a day open
A day may still need attention when the required Program has not been created, the work has not started or is still under way, or a completed Fishing Program has no submitted report. A clear exception, guide or gear matter, expense or advance question, account issue, or delivery concern can also keep closure open.
These are not all the same kind of problem. The important rule is that Operations makes the blocker visible while the source area keeps ownership of the record that resolves it.
What good looks like
People looking at the dashboard, the client trip, or the guide's work should reach the same conclusion about the day. If something is still open, they can see why and go directly to the place where it can be resolved. If it is closed, the company has trusted evidence rather than an optimistic count.
