Close trip gear
Track equipment tied to a CIS from request and checkout through physical return and inventory closure.
Trip gear belongs to a specific CIS and client group. The request begins while reviewing the trip, Operations owns checkout, and the guide follows the same record through pickup and return.
Keep the request tied to the CIS
Open gear from the assigned CIS so the equipment cannot drift away from the trip it supports. Confirm the group, requested products, quantities, and request state. Submission records what Operations should prepare; it does not confirm checkout or physical custody.
Confirm pickup
When the request shows that gear is checked out and ready for pickup:
- Match every product and quantity to the CIS request.
- Inspect the physical condition before leaving the handoff.
- Confirm that the person taking the gear is responsible for that CIS.
- Keep the checkout record associated with the trip throughout the field day.
Return the equipment
After execution and the Fishing Report:
- Reopen the CIS gear section.
- Start Return gear from the checked-out request.
- Confirm the actual products and quantities being returned.
- Report damage, loss, or another item issue against the affected equipment.
- Hand the physical gear to the authorized Operations owner.
- Follow the request until Operations records the return and resolves remaining inventory issues.
System return and physical return must agree
Starting or submitting a return does not replace the physical handoff. Keep custody clear until Operations receives the items and the CIS gear record reflects the outcome.
Do not report trip-specific equipment through Seasonal Kit. Seasonal Kit follows the guide across the season; trip gear follows one CIS.
Next: work between field days.
